Brighter Start Health provides evidence-based, trauma-focused treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Through a transitional model that provides a selection of structured environments, clients can seamlessly transition from higher levels of care to independence. We offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient (OP) program.
Our addiction treatment center offers an unrivaled variety of therapies and approaches so clients can find what best supports their recovery. Our clinical program includes traditional therapies such as individual, group, and family therapy as well as alternative approaches such as EMDR, yoga, and meditation.
We personally tailor our programs to fit each individual seeking care. Our therapists, counselors, and medical staff understand that various factors such as your family, background, and experiences contribute to addiction. Since these factors are different for everyone, treatment will be different for each individual patient.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assess potential clients to determine the appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria
· Engage clients while providing support and encouragement to individuals and their loved ones. Explain programs and services offered
· Provides crisis intervention services and conducts risk assessments as needed
· Complete biopsychosocial assessments
· Coordinate client information with Admissions Coordinator and Clinical Director to complete client intake
· Work with other professional staff to collaborate on treatment methods and plans for patients and to assess suitability for counseling services or referrals to other treatment centers
· Support clinical staff by engaging in groups or individual sessions as needed
· Formulate and implement individualized, patient-centered treatment plans and crisis prevention plans
· Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled
* Assist with DWI assessments
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Must be able to assess for appropriate level of care with knowledge of ASAM criteria and DSM diagnostic criteria
· Must be able to demonstrate high level, efficient documentation skills
· Must display professionalism and excellent customer service and de-escalation skills
· Experience in the substance abuse or mental health field is required (1-2 years preferred)
· Must hold a minimum of current of any of the following: LCAS-A or LCAS or LCMHC-A/LCMHC, or LCSW-A/LCSW
