Brighton Center, Inc. is a private non-profit community-based organization with the mission to create opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through family support services, education, employment, and leadership.
Purpose:
Seeking a dynamic professional to ensure effective communications, marketing, public relations, Board and donor engagement and cultivation, Corporate Engagement, and fundraising activities inclusive of events, Annual Giving, Major and Planned Gifts, and are conducted to increase public awareness and result in unrestricted financial resources for the agency. The Director provides oversight and leadership to the Development Team in order to meet the fundraising needs of the agency and the community while maintaining a strong commitment to Brighton Center’s mission and values.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop vision for Development and implement and provide oversight of the creation and execution of the Comprehensive Development Plan
- Engage Board members on the Development Committee and Event Committees
- Oversee all public relations and fundraising events
- Ensure financial viability of the department
- Maintain and grow donor relationships with a strong focus on increasing annual giving and major and planned gifts
- Provide leadership to the Junior Board
- Oversee staff and volunteers cultivating professional growth and development with accountability
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must have a strong commitment and passion for Brighton Center's mission and values
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of development experience or in a related field
- Proven leader with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
- Strong attention to detail and experienced communicator that can represent the agency externally, which includes public speaking engagements
