Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the processing of accounts receivable, adjustments / refunds, private and third-party agencies, census information, ancillaries, cash deposits, and posting as needed
Communicate with residents and responsible parties at admission and throughout their stay to explain financial obligations and paperwork
Assist with Medicaid Pending accounts
Assist with accounts receivable collections for all due resident accounts and ensure timely filing of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Hospice claims
Document collection activities with residents and responsible parties
Recommend accounts for external collections, attorney review, or write-offs as applicable
Coordinate documentation for internal and external audits and assist the Administrator and accounting department with resolving G / L variances
Prepare and deposit checks received
Manage Resident Trust Accounts in compliance with state regulations
Assist the Human Resources Department with employment procedures such as recruitment, employment verifications, background checks, reference checks and new employee on-boarding
Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory regulations concerning Human Resources related employment
Assist in conducting general orientations for new hires
Managing Front Desk Receptionist staff and Business Office Assistant
Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications :
Experience with long-term care / skilled nursing Business Office functions (Medicaid, Medicare, Personal Needs Accounts, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is required
Excellent organization, customer service, and interpersonal skills required
