Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our facility's equipment and systems, ensuring smooth operation and a safe working environment. The Facility Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs promptly to minimize downtime. The Facility Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in preserving the integrity and efficiency of our operations. This position reports to the Lead Maintenance Mechanic and works closely with the Security Team. The ideal candidate is a highly results-driven team player who can also work independently, has strong communication skills, and provides superior customer service.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position from 7 : 00AM to 3 : 30PM Monday-Friday, and requires some on-call hours.

About the Role :

Conduct routine inspections of facility equipment to identify and address potential issues.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems promptly.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
Install, maintain, and repair equipment and systems according to specifications.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete larger projects.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures.
Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.

Qualifications :

Experience in residential / commercial property maintenance and skills in areas like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC are required.

The ability to work as part of a supportive and cohesive team, as well as independently, is required.

The ability to communicate professionally by phone and email while using a smartphone app is required.

Previous experience with Yardi or other management software is preferred.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

The physical ability to lift 50 lbs. as well as the ability to perform all the physical requirements of the job including lifting, bending, stooping, walking, reaching, crawling, twisting, and standing for varied periods of time.

Experience :

Mechanical knowledge : 2 years plus (Preferred)

Maintenance : 2 years (Required)
