The role of Sales Leader in the hospitality industry is a high-impact leadership position aimed at driving sales, revenue growth, and exceptional customer experiences. Core Responsibilities :

  • Achieving Sales Goals
  • Meet or exceed targets for activity, productivity, and bookings.
  • Work proactively to secure new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing client accounts.
  • Lead Generation and Follow-Up
  • Identify and pursue leads across different market segments and territories using resources such as the brand network, management company, and third-party platforms.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the local market through direct sales calls, presentations, and professional networking.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with top-performing accounts by understanding their needs, monitoring trends, and adjusting strategies to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Conduct regular client check-ins based on a sales automation system and follow up on their production trends.
  • Maximizing Revenue
  • Leverage knowledge of Online Travel Agency (OTA) policies and selling techniques to increase Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR).
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to determine optimal pricing for groups and Local Negotiated Rates (LNRs).
  • Showcasing Hotel Features
  • Conduct professional site tours for potential clients, emphasizing the unique amenities and services the hotel offers.
  • Ensure all group rooms are inspected and prepared to meet client expectations prior to arrival.
  • Community Engagement
  • Represent the hotel at community events to build its reputation and attract new clients.
  • Act as an ambassador for the hotel by fostering relationships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Operational Familiarity
  • Gain a thorough understanding of hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, and other amenities, to better tailor sales pitches and customer experiences.
  • Responding to RFPs
  • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) quickly and professionally to secure new business opportunities.

  • Proficiency in sales automation systems and tools like Microsoft Office.

  • Qualifications :

  • At least 3 years of on-property sales experience in the hospitality industry.
  • A valid driver’s license, with the flexibility to travel for client meetings and presentations on short notice.
