Job Summary:
The Facilities & Maintenance Operations Manager oversees all aspects of facility maintenance, including the Recurring Work Program (RWP), service calls, and utility systems. This role ensures the effective operation of preventive maintenance programs, safety compliance, and personnel management while coordinating with customers to maintain high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage facility maintenance programs, including utilities, power production, fire suppression, and airfield lighting.
- Develop cost-effective strategies for projects and track expenses against estimates.
- Conduct site assessments for infrastructure accessibility and service availability.
- Oversee vendor selection, subcontracting, and project planning.
- Supervise personnel operations, including scheduling, performance reviews, and safety compliance.
- Lead safety training, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure the use of protective equipment.
- Maintain records of training, safety meetings, and compliance documents.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and ensure 24/7 availability as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 10 years in facility maintenance, construction, or utility operations, with 6 years in management.
- Skills: Strong communication, customer service, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of MP-2 Maintenance Program preferred.
- Education: HS Diploma/GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain government security clearance.
Work Conditions:
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes under extreme weather conditions.
