Position Title: Warehouse Cold Storage Forklift Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.

· Receiving, checking, and locating incoming goods

• Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment

· Rotating and replenishing stock

· Receiving, storing, and processing goods in a facility that maintains a controlled temperature.

· Safely operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, reach truck, etc.) to move pallets of goods within the cold storage facility.

· Efficiently load and unload trucks with frozen or chilled products, ensuring proper stacking and securing of pallets.

· Inspect products for damage or quality issues during loading and unloading.

· Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts, reporting any malfunctions.

· Record information regarding movements of supplies, materials and finished products.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Keeping the workplace clean and safe and Adhering to all safety requirements in plant.

• Follow all Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Identify and report faulty equipment, damage, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.
• Sort, pack and wrap products as per company procedures.
• Weigh products and record weight and other data.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory.
• Clean the work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plastic.
• Communicating effectively with team leaders and peers.
• Maintain material handling equipment by recharging, cleaning, oiling, refueling and other necessary actions.

Work Environment:

Performance in this position will occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas were, in certain areas, the use of personal protection equipment such as to follow Food Safety procedures will be required. Floors may be wet and slippery when in the manufacturing area and you will be exposed to temperatures around 40 degrees when on the manufacturing floor. Primary office environment is ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
