The Community Navigator is responsible for identifying the needs and interests of families in order to provide services that support and connect families after they have relocated from under-resourced neighborhoods to safe, robust communities where they can thrive. As the Community Navigator, you will rely on your deep understanding of local community resources and your diverse network of community partners to assist assigned families in establishing a local system of support and linkages to services and activities.
Candidate qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a social services field, OR some relevant college coursework plus two years' relevant professional experience, OR high school diploma plus three years' relevant professional experience required.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle required.
- Knowledge of local community resources preferred.
Job details:
- Compensation: Hourly Range: $18.47-$20.78/hour; offers are commensurate with experience. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs. - Location: most work will be completed in home-based and community-based settings in Metro Chicago; some opportunities to work from a remote location or assigned office between in-person meetings and events.
- Schedule: Full-time, hourly; general business hours with some flexibility to accommodate clients’ scheduling needs.
- Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
