We are growing and we are looking for experienced caregivers and certified nursing assistants to grow with us.
BrightStar Care of Santa Barbara County and West Ventura County is seeking experienced caregivers and CNAs to provide a higher standard of care to our home care clients.
The ideal candidate is willing and able to commit to shifts in the Santa Barbara area while we work to establish our presence in Ventura County.
As an integral part of our home care team, you will aid our clients in their homes and at facilities. Your primary tasks will be determined by our home care nurse and communicated in your clients plan of care. These tasks may include cooking, grocery shopping, outings, and keeping the home tidy, personal care including showers, toileting, hygiene, mobility and more.

Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Incontinence Care: Providing assistance with toileting, including changing adult briefs and managing incontinence.
- Transferring: Helping clients move from bed to wheelchair, wheelchair to toilet, and vice versa.
- Positioning: Repositioning bedridden clients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Skin Care: Monitoring and caring for the client's skin to prevent breakdowns, especially for those who are bedridden.
- Medication Reminders: Ensuring that medications are taken on time.
- Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary needs or restrictions.
- Mobility Assistance: Helping with walking, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and other mobility needs.
- Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Companionship: Providing emotional support and engaging in conversation to reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Transportation: Driving or arranging transportation for medical appointments and errands.
- Monitoring Health: Observing and recording changes in the client's health and behavior, and reporting.
- Exercise: Assisting with physical therapy exercises or encouraging regular physical activity.
- Errands: Running errands such as grocery shopping.
These responsibilities can vary depending on the specific needs of the client and are outlined in their personalized plan of care.
Requirements:
· 6mos. of hands-on care experience, including toileting, and personal hygiene
· Must be 18yrs of age or older
· Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
· Valid Driver’s License and Insured, Reliable vehicle
· Willingness and ability to register with the Home Care Aid Registry
