We are seeking an experienced Medicare medical biller to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate billing, compliance, and smooth operations within our home care agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Medicaid, health insurance, DODD, private pay claims with precision and accuracy
- Review patient records, insurance details, and medical codes to prepare comprehensive billing documentation
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, working closely with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers to clarify billing information and resolve issues
- Maintain accurate records of all billing transactions and communications
Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:
- At least 3 years of stable experience in medical billing or healthcare billing
- In-depth knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures, coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and insurance verification
- Proficiency with billing software and QuickBooks Pro
- A high school diploma, associate or bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential; relevant experience and ability take precedence
Work Arrangements
Flexibility is key in this role. You can work locally from our office or remotely, provided you have a quiet workspace available. We also require that you live within 25 miles of the office for convenience and ease of communication.
