Description
Briljent is seeking an experienced Business Architect – Functional III to support a large-scale Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) modernization effort. This role will involve planning, developing, and facilitating business architecture workshops, collaborating with stakeholders, and creating business architecture artifacts such as process maps and context models. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of healthcare IT solutions and a proven track record of documenting and maintaining business architecture frameworks within large-scale government or healthcare environments.
This is a hybrid role that requires periodic on-site presence for stakeholder meetings, team collaboration, and project oversight. Candidates must be available to work on-site as needed and comply with client requirements for in-person engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop materials for business architecture workshops.
- Facilitate workshops to review and validate business architecture deliverables with stakeholders.
- Independently develop and update business architecture artifacts (context models, process maps, etc.).
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
- Identify and assess gaps in current business workflows and provide recommendations for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with MITA framework and CMS standards.
- Facilitate communication between business units, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
- Support enterprise-level business architecture planning in alignment with the OHIP MES modernization strategy.
- Contribute to documentation, reporting, and team tasks as required.
Requirements
- 8 years of experience with large-scale healthcare solutions.
- 3 years of experience with enterprise systems or IT projects.
- Expertise in documenting, maintaining, and updating complex business process workflows.
- Proven success in organizing and conducting stakeholder workshops for business architecture validation.
- Ability to analyze current-state business architecture within large-scale Medicaid/state healthcare programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams.
- High attention to detail, adaptability, and efficiency in working on iterative deliverables.
Preferred Qualif ications:
- Experience with New York state healthcare systems (eMedNY, NYSOH, APD, etc.).
- Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools (such as iServer).
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, TOGAF, Business Analysis, or ITIL.
- Master’s degree preferred.
