Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our mental health clinic. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in psychological testing, assessment, and therapeutic interventions. This role is critical to providing evidence-based care to our diverse clientele and supporting our mission to promote mental well-being within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Psychological Testing and Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using standardized tools and methodologies.
- Interpret psychological testing results to provide accurate diagnoses and inform treatment planning.
- Prepare detailed and timely assessment reports for clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Therapeutic Interventions:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups across various mental health conditions.
- Monitor and document progress to adjust interventions as necessary.
- Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
- Consult with schools, healthcare providers, or community organizations regarding client needs and interventions.
- Client Advocacy and Support:
- Offer psychoeducation to clients and families to enhance understanding and coping skills.
- Assist clients in accessing additional resources and support services when necessary.
- Training and Supervision:
- Mentor and supervise interns or junior staff as needed.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
- Participate in clinic meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Licensed or license-eligible in Minnesota.
- Experience:
- Minimum of [3-5] years of clinical experience, preferably in a mental health clinic or hospital setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychological testing and assessment.
- Proficiency in administering and interpreting tools such as MMPI, WAIS, Rorschach, and other relevant assessments.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Certification in specialized areas such as trauma, neuropsychology, or forensic psychology.
