Role Overview :
Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Accounting Specialist with our client located in West Chicago, IL. Our client is a well-established organization who specializes in providing sidewalk and asphalt restoration They are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team on an open-ended contract basis for a minimum of 2-3 months. This role is open due to it being a very busy time for the company, and this candidate would be assisting in a variety of areas within the accounting team. The Accounting Specialist will primarily be focused on performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions., while also assisting with some basin month end tasks. Additionally, this Accounting Specialist will assist with some month end responsibilities. This is an immediate need so the ideal candidate for this role will be able to interview and start ASAP.
Accounting Specialist Responsibilities :
- Perform customer invoicing
- Post customer payments and complete daily bank deposits
- Maintain customer accounts and address customer inquiries related to invoicing and payment questions
- Review and entry of accounts payable invoices
- Maintain vendor accounts and address vendor inquiries related to invoicing and payment questions
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements
- Collate supporting documentation for check runs; assure disbursements are exact
- Assist with month end reconciliations
- Perform accounts reconciliations
- Special projects as needed
