A fast-growing hospitality company is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA . This role is responsible for handling full-cycle accounting for multiple restaurant locations. If you have a background in accounting and experience in the food and beverage or hospitality industry , this is a great opportunity to advance your career.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing in compliance with GAAP and financial regulations.
Monitor revenue and expenses , consolidate financial data, and generate ad-hoc reports.
Manage Accounts Receivable (A / R) and Accounts Payable (A / P) , ensuring accurate journal entries and invoice verification.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and open A / R & A / P accounts .
Prepare daily revenue reports and maintain monthly rent schedules.
Support restaurant managers with accounting and accounts payable inquiries.
Handle sales tax filings and respond to merchant chargeback inquiries.
Assist with government filings, annual renewals, external audits , and compliance reporting.
Qualifications :
2 4 years of accounting experience (hospitality, food & beverage industry preferred).
Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and accounting software .
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance regulations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
