A leading logistics and transportation company is seeking a Trucking Operations Team Manager to oversee transportation operations across multiple locations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management to optimize delivery efficiency and operational performance. Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage transportation teams across multiple locations to ensure seamless trucking operations.
Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
Oversee and analyze key performance metrics, tracking progress and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
Manage budget planning and cost control, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to company goals.
Supervise profit and loss (P&L) management, providing insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.
Establish and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers, ensuring the best contract terms.
Mentor, train, and assess staff performance, fostering a results-driven and collaborative team environment.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations, promoting a safe and secure work environment.
Address and resolve transportation issues, working proactively with internal teams and external partners to prevent disruptions.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
10 years of experience in transportation management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in fleet operations, route optimization, vendor negotiations, and cost reduction strategies.
Ability to analyze financial performance, develop cost-saving initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency.
Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management within the logistics industry.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
