Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage transportation teams across multiple locations to ensure seamless trucking operations.
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
- Oversee and analyze key performance metrics, tracking progress and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Manage budget planning and cost control, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to company goals.
- Supervise profit and loss (P&L) management, providing insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Establish and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers, ensuring the best contract terms.
- Mentor, train, and assess staff performance, fostering a results-driven and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations, promoting a safe and secure work environment.
- Address and resolve transportation issues, working proactively with internal teams and external partners to prevent disruptions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- 10 years of experience in transportation management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in fleet operations, route optimization, vendor negotiations, and cost reduction strategies.
- Ability to analyze financial performance, develop cost-saving initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management within the logistics industry.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
