Camp Brimacombe exists to foster the holistic development of each camper, through an empowering and safe environment, that recognizes the uniqueness of each child. Entering our seventh year of summer camps, we are currently seeking fun, outgoing, and responsible team members to help us make Camp Brimacombe a fun and safe place for our campers this summer.

 

As part of our Camp Brimacombe team, the Camp Experience Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring we are consistently delivering on our camp mission, by monitoring day-to-day camp experiences, fostering relationships with campers and their parents/guardians to ensure an exceptional camp experience and act as a liaison between camp staff and the marketing department. 


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Marketing & Communications Manager with the coordination of all promotion of camps and camp products.
  • Oversee the development, promotion and fulfillment of orders from the online Camp Brimacombe Tuck Shop.
  • Act as a liaison between camp staff and Marketing Department.
  • Work with the Marketing & Communications Manager, Camp Director and camp leadership to develop Camp Experience Plan.
  • Interact with Camp Brimacombe Campers and Staff during scheduled activities to monitor and report on camper experience.
  • Create a daily schedule of photo and content assignments for each week of camp for camp photographers and oversee daily upload of content to SeeSaw App platform. 
  • Create and schedule content to promote Camp Brimacombe on Brimacombe website and social media platforms to future campers as well as, generate interaction from "at-home" campers. 
  • Facilitate weekly parent and camper feedback surveys and report results to Camp Brimacombe management.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support by supplying timely information to campers, their parents/guardians, staff and the general public through a variety of mediums.
  • Follow and enforce all Camp Brimacombe policies and procedures for employees and campers.
  • Work effectively in a team with all other Camp Brimacombe staff and management.
  • Take on any challenge or help other team members when needed, including but not limited to stepping in as a camp counsellor or camp photographer, as needed.
  • Oversee community relations and donation fulfillment
  • Source, purchase, and maintain decor inventory as well as decorate camp spaces with weekly- themed decor
  • Attend and assist with scheduling street team for off-site promotional events
  • Assist the Marketing & Communications manager with the coordination of all activities including, digital marketing, communications, social media, advertising and off and on-site events


Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience or education in marketing or public relations, preferably in camp or recreational setting.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR-C certification
  • Successful Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, required prior to the first day of work.
  • Provide Ministry of Labour Workplace Health and Safety Certificate for Supervisors, prior to first day of work
  • Ability to lead, plan, organize and implement weekly marketing tasks.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish task with little direct supervision.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada
