Salary range: $111K midpoint - $130K high end.
Our client is the flagship teaching hospital for a larger health system that stretches across 29 counties in eastern North Carolina. The Manager of AP will manage the daily activities in the delivery of quality patient care within the area of Anatomic Pathology. The service areas include; Histology, Cytology and Autopsy Services, and there are 30 FTE's, which include support from a Supervisor and a Tech Specialist. Monitors current accreditation standards to ensure department compliance with all regulatory agencies (CAP, JCAHO, NCCLS, CLIA, ASHI, OSHA, and Federal Regulations). Develops, plans and audits departmental goals and budget. Monitors and serves as a resource for activities related to physical plant, data processing, and educational training of students, regional laboratories, and Departmental/Hospital committees. Maintains adequate inventories of supplies and reagents to perform testing. Assures adequate equipment is available, operational and performance monitored.
Qualifications:
As a cultural and educational hub, this area combines big-city resources with truly enjoyable — and affordable — living conditions. It’s busy, but there’s room to breathe. It’s big, but it’s front-porch friendly. It’s a great place to raise a family — but there’s more than enough to do when you’re looking for an exciting night on the town. Housing costs are lower than the state and national average, and the public schools rank among North Carolina’s best. The city bus system makes getting around easy (and there’s also a growing bike/pedestrian corridor).
