Overview
Position: Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records through recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing journal entries. The Staff Accountant assists in various aspects of financial management, including accounts payable and receivable, while contributing to month-end and year-end closing activities. The Staff Accountant will aid in the preparation of financial reports, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Responsibilities

The Staff Accountant is accountable and/or responsible for the following as it pertains to the Holding Company’s subsidiary, RGBC Holding Company MC LLC:
- Implementing and maintaining process for all registration, business, and other licensing
- Processing all expense reports accurately and efficiently
- Reconciling and posting company credit card transactions
- Performing month-end financial close activities
- Preparing monthly bank reconciliations
- Posting cash receipts daily
- Preparing sales and use tax returns for multiple states, and personal property returns and declarations
- Entering monthly accruals and saving audit reports
- Posting payroll to the general ledger and jobs, when applicable
- Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting entries, reconciliations, and reporting
- Maintaining fixed asset ledgers and accurate reporting for additions, disposals, depreciation expense, and gains/losses
- Coding of overhead invoices and processing weekly check and ACH disbursements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Working Conditions:
- The Staff Accountant's work is primarily performed indoors at Brinkmann’s corporate office
- This role requires regular office hours, with potential for extended hours during reporting cycles
- Light physical effort is required, including the handling of objects up to 10 pounds and some
- Standing, walking, sitting, talking and/or hearing
