We are currently looking for individuals to work as Funeral Assistant/Greeter for our expanding funeral homes. Brinsfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, P.A. is in both Charlotte Hall and Leonardtown, Maryland.
A Funeral Assistant/Greeter at a funeral home is the primary point of contact for families and guests upon arrival, responsible for providing a warm, compassionate welcome, assisting with logistical needs, and ensuring a respectful and comfortable environment during a difficult time, all while maintaining professional decorum and empathy throughout the funeral service process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Warmly greet arriving guests at the funeral home, offering condolences and directing them to the appropriate area.
· Offer guidance on seating arrangements, distribute funeral programs, and answer basic questions about the service schedule.
· Help manage the flow of guests, ensuring a smooth and respectful atmosphere during the service.
· Liaise with the family to address any specific needs or requests they may have.
· Prepare the visitation room by setting up floral arrangements, caskets, and other necessary items.
· May include tasks like answering phone calls, maintaining records, and assisting with basic clerical duties.
· Help with the departure process, including managing the procession and assisting with final arrangements.
· Maintain and clean the funeral home after each service including restrooms.

Effectively communicate with families, guests, and funeral directors to ensure clear understanding of arrangements and needs.

Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure a smooth funeral service.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
