Overall management and delivery of a profitable design / build commercial construction project from conceptualization, design / development, estimating, through construction and project close out.Build strong and enduring relationships both internally and externally for Briohn.Work with architectural staff to develop project scope and design drawings.Create budgets and design / build project proposals based on scope and design drawings.Support architectural staff and Development manager to facilitate municipal approvals.Strong experience in conceptual estimating, value engineering and budgeting.The ability to create, negotiate, and execute contracts with owners and subcontractors.Provide overall project administration and coordination.Extensive experience creating detailed project construction schedules in Microsoft Project.Knowledge of Procore or equivalent project management software.Experience working with the accounting department to assemble draw request applications.Negotiate and create owner and subcontractor contract change orders.Serve as primary client contact throughout project duration.Expedite timely completion of punch list with Superintendent.Responsible for project quality and profitability.Identify opportunities for new clients and foster existing client relationships.Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships.Direct and mentor Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Coordinators.HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects.Commercial construction cost estimating and quantity take-off experience.Proficient with Procore or equivalent project management software and Microsoft Project.Experience with client and subcontractor negotiations.Comfortable presenting to clients and municipalities.Excellent written and verbal communication.A self-starter who is confident and assertive.A problem-solver who can think creatively.Great organizational skills.Enjoys working well under pressure.
