What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health Department Manager position at Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation?
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Plans, develops, administers, and evaluates programs designed to promote Environmental Health through the science and practice of preventing human injury and illness by identifying and evaluating environmental sources and hazardous agents and limiting exposures to hazardous physical, chemical, and biological agents in air, water, soil, food and other environmental media or settings that may adversely affect human health.

- Bachelor's degree with major study in Environmental Health or academic field relating to biological science, engineering, clinical, or general science. At least five (5) years of experience in the performance of environmental health or related activities.
- Master's degree (e.g., MPH, MSPH, MS) or equivalent in related field is preferred and may substitute for equivalent experience.
- Supervisory and grant administration work experience required.
- Registered Environmental Health Specialist (either National Environmental Health Association or a current state registration) required.
