What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Pharmacy Technician position at Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation?
PURPOSE OF JOB: Oversees and coordinates work of Pharmacy Technicians. Assists the pharmacists in clerical functions, pharmacy point of sales, and other related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years of college or two (2) years of continuous employment in a medically related field preferred.
- Must have successfully completed the pharmacy technician certification through the nationally accredited certification examination of PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or the ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians). Pharmacy technician licensure or registration as required by the state where the pharmacy is located or become certified within one year of hire.
- At least one (1) years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician working in a hospital setting preferred.
- Computer/word processing skills required. Must type with accuracy.
- Good communication skills are required.
