The Business Development Director (Non-Federal) position is responsible for improving the CSI brand market position to ultimately assist with achieving financial growth for the CSI brand. Responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing customers in the non-federal restoration services segment; building market position by identifying new clients; and developing business agreements to achieve financial growth for the CSI brand. The position will be nationwide with a high focus on the Eastern US region (ME to FL).

The position will require significant travel within the Eastern US region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing CSI brand customer
  • Identify and develop new business partners and potential deals
  • Evaluate potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements and opportunities, financial considerations, evaluating options and resolving internal priorities
  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions
  • Protect and develop the organization's image my embodying professional demeanor and practice in all business dealings and reflecting the highest standards for honesty and integrity
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management or other appropriate field and with a minimum of fifteen year of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in non-federal business development
  • Strong knowledge of non-federal restoration services contracting markets in the Eastern US region
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and professionally with the Chief Business Development Officer, other Business Development Directors, and other senior staff to meet objectives
  • Must reflect high standards of ethics, honesty, integrity, and reliability
  • Solid platform skills, to include in-person and remote presentations, including telephone and video conferencing
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, make decisions, solve problems, and exercise good judgment
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills
  • Self-starter, requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel frequently within the United States, up to 75%

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.

This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness.

Working Conditions

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.
