SES Energy Services LLC (ESL) is expanding its workforce and is seeking an Intern to join our growing Fuels Construction Business Line. This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of construction engineering and project management. As an intern, you will be exposed to a variety of essential duties related to project planning, design evaluation, and coordination, while supporting our experienced team of engineers and project managers.
This position will report locally to Program Manager, located in Denver, Colorado.
The salary range for this position is $25-35/hour

Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise.

- Assisting with the preparation and review of project-specific preconstruction plans (e.g., Accident Prevention Plans, Quality Control Plans, Environmental Protection Plans, etc.) and related documents.
- Helping with the review of design plans and technical specifications for constructability evaluations.
- Contributing to project estimating and proposal preparations by assisting with quantity takeoffs and technical writing.
- Assisting in the preparation of material submittals and product data for various project-specific needs.
- Supporting safety and health activities on-site, including ensuring that safety measures and instructions are being followed in accordance with design specifications and regulations.
- Collaborating with field management teams to provide input on problem-solving and offering solutions to construction-related challenges.
- Helping engineers and project managers with reviewing design plans, technical specifications, and project deliverables.
- Supporting proposal teams by providing administrative assistance with solicitations, subcontractor quotes, and RFP documentation.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Interest in the construction or engineering industry & strong willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to analyze and work with technical documentation such as blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 10-40% depending on project needs.
- Prior internship or academic experience related to construction management, engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of RMS, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or P6 is a plus.
