Bristol-Myers Squibb is a company that transforms patients' lives through science. We are seeking a Senior Material Handler to join our team in a challenging and meaningful role.
The Senior Material Handler will provide material movement and logistical support to internal and external customers in support of cellular therapeutic manufacturing at the BMS Manufacturing Plant. The ideal candidate will have experience in cGMP warehouse environments, supply chain management, and APICS best practices for warehouse operations.
The Senior Material Handler will be responsible for coordinating internal and external customer requests across multiple unit operations during their shift, including personnel, material, and logistical needs. They will also work with production planning, the Sr. Manufacturing Associate, and other shift leads to establish daily unit operations schedules that include people, product, and material flow across multiple shifts.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant science discipline or equivalent work experience. They will also have 3-5 years of experience in a cGMP warehouse environment and understanding of Supply Chain Management and APICS best practices for warehouse operations.
Additional responsibilities include completing and reviewing documentation required by process transfer protocols, validation protocols, standard operating procedures, and batch records. The Senior Material Handler will also assist in the training of staff who are less experienced to ensure they have the necessary technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- cGMP regulations and FDA guidance applicable to biologics and cell therapy manufacturing
- Distribution, receiving, temperature storage, issuance, and inventory control practices
- Understanding controlled temperature, humidity, and pest control monitoring for cGMP environments
- Transportation lanes and cold chain logistical movement of time critical and temperature sensitive biologics
- Freight forwarder and courier direct shipments and associated documentation requirements
- Use of material handling equipment
- Operation of company owned vehicles for transport
- Quality Systems for Deviation, SOP revisions/creation, CAPA Management
