Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programmer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming Crestron, Savant, and Control4 automation systems, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Programming & Integration:
- Develop, configure, and program Crestron, Savant, and Control4 automation systems for residential and commercial projects.
- Integrate various third-party devices and systems (e.g., lighting, shades, audio/video equipment, security systems) with control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues and system malfunctions.
- Perform system testing and quality assurance to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
Installation & Troubleshooting:
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of control systems and related equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to control systems, networking, and AV equipment.
- Provide on-site technical support to clients.
Documentation & Support:
- Create and maintain clear and concise system documentation, including programming notes, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
- Provide technical support to clients, including phone support, remote troubleshooting, and on-site assistance.
- Stay current on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience programming Crestron, Savant, and Control4 automation systems.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, Ethernet, Wi-Fi).
- Proficiency in programming languages used by Crestron, Savant, and Control4.
- Experience with audio/video equipment and systems (e.g., amplifiers, processors, displays).
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for system design and integration.
