Overview
A lovely family of three in Washington DC is seeking a fantastic full-time live-out nanny to assist with care of their one-year-old daughter. The schedule for this role is 9am-5pm, or 8am-4pm, with flexibility for occasional overtime.
Responsibilities
- All aspects of childcare, including nap, feeding, and hygiene routines
- Handling baby laundry and maintaining organization of the child's spaces
- Child-related meal preparation (if you enjoy cooking and would be willing to prepare some meals for the family that would be a major bonus!)
- Keeping on top of child-related supplies, and making necessary purchases
- Creating an engaging environment and providing developmentally appropriate enrichment daily
- Researching classes and making sure the child gets out for social and educational outings
- Light tidying of common spaces throughout the day
Qualifications
- Engaging, loving, and warm with a friendly demeanor
- Willing to remain consistent with the morals and values that the family believes in
- Flexible, reliable, and trustworthy
- Interest in a long-term role
- Happy to work as a team with hands-on parents
- Experience with toddlers and preschoolers
Requirements
- US work authorization
- Willing to travel with the family occasionally both domestically and internationally (a few days to a week at a time)
- The ability to swim would be a plus
- Driving is required (a car will be provided for work use)
- Italian or Spanish speaking would be a HUGE bonus
- Covid vaccinated and willing to get an annual flu vaccine
Salary and Benefits
- $30-40/hr. DOE
