HN286 - Full-Time Nanny - Bronx, NY

Overview

A British/American family in the Bronx is seeking a full-time live-out nanny for their 2-year-old child. They are expecting another baby in late May but the baby won't need nanny care until about November after the parents finish their maternity/paternity leave from work. The toddler will then be 3-years-old and the baby will be 4/5-months-old. The schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30am-5pm on most days but if the nanny can stay a bit later at times it would be very much appreciated. The role starts in April or May or potentially sooner if needed.

Responsibilities

• Initial and primary care will be focused on the toddler; he is an outgoing child and not shy, he likes to be outside and doing things, so taking him to the park, museums, etc. during the day is needed. He needs the nanny to interact with him, so being active with him and engaging is desired.
• Doing the child(ren)'s laundry
• Meal and snack prep for the child(ren)
• Introducing the infant to solids as developmentally appropriate down the line
• All baby-related care such as diapering, feeding, burping, putting down for naps, keeping a baby schedule, overseeing tummy time and developmental activities, reading to the baby, rocking the baby, etc.
• All toddler-related tasks such as playing with the child, reading to him, helping him with hygiene and dressing, etc. 

Qualifications

• Experience caring for two children at once (ideally baby and toddler) is a huge asset for this role

Requirements

• There is 1 cat in the home so the candidate to hire can't be allergic to cats
• Knowledge of infant care and developmental milestones, able to keep baby on track and on a schedule while also caring for a toddler
• Active and engaged

Salary and Benefits

• $37/hour to start and will go up a bit once baby care is also taken on by the nanny
