Summary
Broad Management Group is seeking a Property Asset Manager to join our growing Asset Management team. This role is responsible for supporting business plans, analyzing portfolio performance, and partnering with operations to optimize results across a multi-state property portfolio.
We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about real estate, thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, and communicates effectively. Location: Montvale, NJ (Corporate Office) Travel: Approximately 8 days per month to properties nationwide
Responsibilities
- Work with and report to the Director of Asset Management regarding the performance of several multifamily portfolios, 1,000 – 2,500 units each in the following areas:
- Assist in assessing struggling properties to identify issues and necessary steps for improvement.
- Monitor property performance and implement strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Develop, implement, and maintain processes for all facets of portfolio management: collections, leasing, maintenance, budgeting, coordination with Section 8, and property reporting
- Oversee certain capital improvement projects, coordinating with our Asset preservation and construction department, and following up on timelines and project management.
Requirements
- Seasoned 5 years of property management with experience in stabilizing troubled assets, not necessarily distressed assets, but underperforming ones.
- Significant leadership experience (5 years) with a proven ability to recruit, train, build, and supervise effective property management teams
- Ability to read and analyze property-level financial statements, including P&L statements and budget variances; ability to identify areas that require improvement and to create & implement the steps necessary to achieve improved NOI.
- Operational ability to implement, oversee, and maintain processes for all facets of property management, including collections, leasing, & maintenance.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally both verbally and in writing with colleagues, supervisors, vendors, and residents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Rent Manager is plus, as is a good sense of humor.
