AT A GLANCE:
Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Payroll Analyst to join our People Team. This role will be responsible for managing payroll activities and functions to support accurate, full cycle routine pay administration with integrity, confidentiality, and compliance to all applicable HR laws.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:
- Routinely handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Process multiple payrolls with compliance to state/federal laws.
- Use systems, including Paycom, database applications, spreadsheets, and reports, to collect, report and process payroll activities.
- Work successfully under pressure to produce accurate payrolls and meet all critical deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with all managers and employees to problem solve payroll related questions, issues, and routine inquiries in a timely manner.
- Analyze employee related data with curiosity and initiative to identify and address inconsistencies.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve broad issues and inconsistencies using effective communication and problem-solving skills in a collaborative manner.
- Generate and create routine and ad hoc report data upon request.
- Participate in project teams to ensure appropriate representation for payroll to maintain up-to-date processes and initiate/implement enhancements for process improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Proven knowledge of payroll law/compliance and state/federal regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with thorough attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to provide prompt and professional attention to all employee questions and concerns.
- Demonstrated professional level of flexibility, creativity, initiative, and adaptability in ever changing situations.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies, investigate and problem solve.
WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to work independently, as well as, in a collaborative team environment within an office setting.
- This role is hybrid and requires 3 days in the Fort Mill office per week.
