Essential Job Functions as a Room Technician
- Greet clients and be passionate about client education
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Maintain medical records, including past medical history
- Clean rooms to ensure it looks unused before every appointment
- Animal restraint and patient care
- Fill prescriptions
- Lift over 50lb and be able to stand for long hours
- Obtain weights and patient history
- Phlebotomy (we will teach the right candidate)
- Process payments
- Give vaccinations and perform nail trims
- Assist with imaging or other service needs
Qualifications for a Room Technician
- 1 year of customer service experience
- 1 year of medical experience such as an animal hospital, an animal shelter, an animal daycare facility, or working as a human nurse or LNA
- All candidates must have a high school diploma or a GED
