General Statement of Duties: Under the direction of the Director of Talent Acquisition and Retention, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner with hiring managers and business teams from all levels of the organization to facilitate the full lifecycle of recruitment, including reviewing and updating job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviewing and debriefing. Along with recruitment, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will act as the team lead for the Talent Acquisition team.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit for BAMSI’s full-time, temporary and internship roles, as well as support teams’ recruitment efforts.
- Ensure fair, consistent and efficient practices, as it relates to sourcing, recruiting and hiring.
- Lead and develop recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidate pools.
- Manage entire recruitment process including creating recruitment strategies sourcing, screening, interviewing, evaluating and hiring for all level positions.
- Unbiasedly evaluate applicants based on job requirements and applicant qualifications with
managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
- Work with compensation to prepare, extend and negotiate job offers.
- Execute employer branding initiatives and promote job opportunities via social media channels.
- Maintain vendor relationships including staffing agencies and other recruiting partners. Partner with broader team on diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Stay up to date on the latest best practices and technology in the Talent Acquisition space to
facilitate continuous improvement of policy and strategy.
- Identify passive job seekers using full range of recruitment tactics and resources.
- Build and utilize a candidate pool for current and future positions.
- Manage communication process with internal and external candidates, HR colleagues, and respective hiring business teams/clients.
- Proactively evaluate and assess staffing needs of the assigned program areas and consult with Divisional & Departmental Heads about organizational changes and strategies concerning the efficient utilization of headcount.
- Coach the Hiring Managers on interviewing and selection skills and techniques as well as counsel employees on career development.
- Assist in the development of tools/processes to streamline/automate the staffing function.
- Team lead for Talent Acquisition, under the direction of the Director of Talent Acquisition.
- Responsible for training within the Talent Acquisition team.
- Point of contact whenever the Director of Talent Acquisition is not available.
- Perform all duties in compliance with BAMSI policies and applicable laws.
- Other Talent Acquisition and HR-related projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 6 years full lifecycle recruitment experience in a high volume environment required.
- An Associate's degree is required.
- A demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Outlook, Excel and Word required.
- Knowledge of Application Tracking Systems (preferably iCIMS).
- An understanding of current legislation and laws (federal, state and local) around hiring practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers, Human Resources colleagues, and respective hiring clients.
- Ability to build relationships, influence, and offer best practice solutions to business partners.
- Detail-oriented and data-driven.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring a team.
- Experience training individuals on recruitment-related material.
- The demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage and resolve conflict in a tactful manner is required.
- A demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Outlook, Excel and Word required.
