Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide attentive care, foster developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for infants and toddlers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Care and Safety: Provide attentive and responsive care to infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining hygiene.
- Curriculum Implementation: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Observation and Assessment: Monitor each child’s progress and document milestones to share with families and the Center Director.
- Classroom Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment that aligns with health and safety regulations.
- Communication: Build strong relationships with families by sharing updates, addressing concerns, and providing guidance on their child’s development.
- Collaboration: Work with teaching assistants and other staff to maintain a positive and effective classroom environment.
- Professional Development: Stay current with early childhood education best practices and participate in ongoing training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- CDA (Child Development Associate) certification, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 9 months of experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and perform duties requiring bending, stooping, and sitting on the floor.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
