About the Role
This full-time position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to learn and develop new skills quickly. You will work collaboratively with Coding, Medicine, Nursing, Case Management, the Quality Department, and ancillary staff to review medical records and ensure accurate DRG assignments, case-mix index, severity of illness, and risk of mortality profiling.
This position involves performing concurrent analytical reviews of medical records to ensure accurate representation of patients' severity of illness. The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating clinically credible documentation clarifications, communicating effectively with physicians, and facilitating modifications to clinical documentation to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
