SUBJECT: COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SUMMER 2025 - SUPPORT STAFF
(Paras, MTA’s, and College/High School Students)
Support staff is needed to work in the programs listed below. Positions are contingent upon funding and adequate student enrollment.
1.Act One Scene 1
2.Activity Adventure Camp
3.Art Exploration Camp
4.Engineering is Everywhere
5.Get Ready
6.Jr. Boxer Camp
7.Launch Academy
8.Mini Day Fun Camp
9.Power Scholars Academy
10.Raise Up Basketball
11.Smart Start Extended Day
12.Step Up: Study & Fun
13.Youth Aquatics
Support Staff are expected to attend the Summer Program Mandatory Staff Meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 26th, 8am-11am.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Experience working with students and other staff members
2.Strong organizational skills
3.Prior experience working in the summer academic enrichment/remediation program is preferred
4.Must commit to work the entire length of the program and attend training
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Support teaching and enrichment staff
2.Co-lead and/or lead enrichment activities
3.Attend and fully participate in all activities
4.Attend paid professional development training sessions
5.Support youth in a positive and constructive manner
6.Proactively manage classroom behavior
7.Serve as a bus monitor (morning and afternoon)
8.Other duties as directed by the instructor and/or program supervisors
All support staff positions begin 15 minutes before the start of the program and end 15 minutes after the program closure, unless otherwise stated at the point of hire.
