SUBJECT: Financial Analyst
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Considerable knowledge of spreadsheets, including Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of MUNIS preferred.
Critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
Ability to assume initiative and to accept responsibility for completion of assignments in an accepted format that is accurate and in a timely manner.
Ability to support other staff members in alignment with the goals and objectives of the Office of Financial Services and the
School District.
Effective interpersonal skills and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Maintain ledgers, sub-ledgers, supporting spreadsheets and documentation.
Assist in preparing annual reporting for Local, State and Federal agencies.
Assist the Director of Financial Services on special projects.
Monitor position control for all staff positions held in the district, including all open and new positions.
Assists with budget preparation.
Monitor budget balances/projections.
Perform purchasing and accounts payable duties.
Maintains confidentiality and effective working relationships with employees, school staff and city staff.
Perform additional work-related tasks as assigned by the Director of Financial Services.
Compensation: 12 Month position. Salary according to range established for similar positions.
