SUBJECT: After School Reading Tutor at the Seventh Day Adventist Private School
Qualifications:
•MA DESE Elementary license required
•MA DESE Reading Specialist license preferred
•Five or more years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience
•Strong communication skills
•Willingness to communicate with private school classroom teacher(s) and school-based leadership
•Demonstrated expertise in literacy instruction
Responsibilities:
•Provide tutoring services at Seventh-day Adventist School at 752 Oak Street Brockton, MA
•Assess students using the DIBELS and/or Quick Phonics Survey
•Provide explicit reading instruction to identified groups of students needing additional support.
•Collaborate with the school-based leadership
•Sessions would be 2 days a week, Monday – Thursday from 3:45 – 4:45
•Progress monitor students’ reading skills and submit data to Title I Coordinator
Compensation: Hourly rate according to contract
Source of Funding: Title I
