To: All Teaching and Administrative PersonnelBrockton Public SchoolsFrom: Dr. Kathleen MoranAssistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSubject: Brockton High School ESL Steering Committee (7 participants) Dates: Up to 15 hours meeting dates to be determined collectivelyLocation: High SchoolQUALIFICATIONS: 1.Experience teaching ESL to English learners at the high school level2.Licensed in English as a second language by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education 3.Strong background in English as a second language curriculum development and instruction for English learners at a variety of proficiency levels4.Understanding of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for ELA and the WIDA 2020 standards.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Participate in all meeting dates and activities 2.Work in collaboration with peers3.Analyze the strengths and challenges of various ESL curriculum products for students at a variety of proficiency levels4.Develop an implementation and analysis plan for ESL curriculum implementation for the 2022-2023 school year. 5.Submit the documentation and the deliverables regularly and timely as agreed in each meeting.
