TO: ALL TEACHING AND ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL BROCKTON PUBLIC SCHOOLSFROM: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: Brockton HS Accreditation Standards Committee MembersOne Brockton High School teacher or administrator is needed to serve as a member of the five standards committees for the Brockton High School accreditation process. Committee members will spend thirty (30) hours completing committee work, including afternoons and some Saturday mornings.
All members will be assigned to one of the five standards as their focus area during the first meeting.Standard 1: Learning CultureStandard 2: Student LearningStandard 3: Professional PracticesStandard 4: Learning SupportStandard 5: Learning Resources QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Teaching or administrative experience at the secondary level.2.Willingness to serve as an active participant on one of the five standards committees, including authoring the final self-study reports.3.Demonstrated skills in organization, leadership, communication, and problem-solvingMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Attend all committee meetings and collaborate with colleagues in writing reports2.Assist in information and evidence gathering 3.Contribute to the final self-study report4.Participate in site visit planning, meetings, and interviewsCOMPENSATION: $1,200 stipend
