What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Proficiency Commitment Leadership Team Member BVLA position at Brockton Public Schools?
To: All Teaching and Administrative Personnel Brockton Public SchoolsFrom: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSubject: Proficiency Commitment Leadership Team Members- BVLADates/Times: Up to three 2-hour district-wide meetings after school and one 1-hour school level meeting every other week (dates to be determined)The purpose of the Proficiency Commitment Leadership Team is to monitor and support efforts to move schools towards achieving proficiency for all students. The PCL Team will strategically and intentionally analyze a broad range of data in order to progress monitor whole school change efforts, especially those related to the implementation of HQIM, and to propose changes to school based improvement strategies if the data suggests such changes.
The PCL Team will also be responsible for communicating progress toward student outcomes to all stakeholders. Given the explicit focus on ensuring access to HQIM for all students, priority will be given to creating a team that includes representation from each grade level/core subject area as well as specialized personnel in the areas of special education and bilingual education.QUALIFICATIONS: Broad representation of staff members including an administrator, classroom teachers, and specialized support personnelAbility to fulfill project duties and responsibilitiesInterest and/or experience in data driven leadershipUnderstanding of current district instructional focuses as they relate to the Brockton Public Schools Strategic PlanDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as a member of a school-based team and in alignment with district-wide improvement efforts as outlined in the BPS Strategic PlanReview materials in preparation for meetings, as neededAnalyze data and reflect on progress towards school-based student learning goalsProgress monitor school-based efforts for improvementCOMPENSATION: $1,000 stipendFund Code to be Charged: Title I and Title II Grant Funds The Brockton Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer and, as such, is committed to fostering an inclusive culture where diverse perspectives and backgrounds are celebrated.
