SUBJECT:Head Coach- Unified Track and Field (2)
Minimum Qualifications:
Attend the free Unified Sports Track and Field Coaches’ training and complete the free 90-minute course via the Special
Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA)
Special Educator license preferred.
Three years working in the field of special education
Responsibilities
Oversee the administration of the High Schools’ Unified Track and Field team which is a MIAA team sport comprised of athletes
and peer partners with support from the Special Education Coordinator of Developmental Programs
Meet regularly with Coordinator of Developmental Programs and SOMA to ensure quality program standards are being met and
policies followed
Organize and lead all practice sessions and meets both home and away
Recruit students with intellectual disabilities and autism and neurotypical peers
Coordinate transportation for away meets
Reports to:Brockton High School Special Education Coordinator and Athletic Director
Work Hours:Varied based on practice and meet schedule.
Compensation: $4,609 Stipend
Compensation paid for through the Special Education Department
