SUBJECT: Support Staff for Unified Track and Field (3 Positions)
Minimum Qualifications:
•Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and coaches
•Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or other special needs is preferred
•Strong communication skills and a positive, supportive attitude
•Previous experience in athletics or school support roles preferred
Responsibilities:
•Provide on-site support during Unified Track and Field meets, both home and away
•Assist with the coordination of athletes, ensuring they are prepared and supported throughout the meet
•Assist with setup, logistics, and tear-down of events
•Help maintain a safe and supportive environment for athletes, coaches, and volunteers
•Collaborate with the Unified Track team coaches and staff to ensure smooth operations of all events
•Provide social emotional and physical support to athletes during practice and competition, promoting inclusivity and teamwork
Reports to: Brockton High School Special Education Coordinator and Athletic Director
Work Hours: Varied based on practice and meet schedule, including afternoons and evenings
Compensation: Compensation will be paid for through the Special Education Department
