Subject: Two-day Restorative Justice Tier 1 Workshop
Current research across the United States and abroad supports the effectiveness of restorative justice processes in schools. Restorative practices are successfully used for classroom management; collaborative pedagogy; student support; emotional awareness and literacy; building a positive school climate; alternate discipline; and strengthening positive connections with parents and community. This 2-day, Tier 1 workshop was designed for teachers, counselors, administrators, and school support personnel to learn about restorative justice as well as how to implement restorative practices in the classroom and greater school culture.
Two-day Restorative Justice Tier 1 Workshop *Choose one two-day workshop
Tuesday and Wednesday April 22nd-23rd
OR
Thursday and Friday April 24th and 25th
Time: 9:00am-3:00pm
Location: 20 Union Street
(Goddard School/Adult Learning Center)
Each workshop is capped at 20 participants. The first 20 applicants for each workshop will be accepted.
Funding: Hate Crime Prevention Grant # 794
Participants will receive a $500 stipend for attending the two-day workshop.
