The Brockton Public School System is seeking candidates for the position of Principal to lead the Davis K-8 School. The Principal will serve as the instructional leader of an experienced staff and diverse student body. This position is available beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.Key Responsibilities: Lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning rooted in universal design and culturally responsive practices. Regularly monitor and analyze a wide range of student data (e.g., academic, attendance, discipline, etc.) and use it to inform and adjust instructional decisions and school improvement efforts.
Fully engage all stakeholders, including staff, families, students, and community members in the school improvement planning and implementation process. Ensure alignment of the school's vision and goals with district and state standards and guidelines. Recruit, hire, evaluate, and retain a high-quality diverse teaching and support staff. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and inclusion.
Implement effective performance management and accountability systems. Oversee operations of the school, including budgeting, resource allocation, and facilities management. Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and legal requirements. Maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff.
Promote an asset-based culture of family engagement in school activities and decision-making processes. Collaborate with external partners to enhance educational opportunities for students. Qualifications: MA DESE Administrator License- Principal/Assistant Principal (Grades PreK-8) OR (Grades PreK-6 and 5-8 or 5-12).Five or more years of successful teaching and/or administrative experience. Strong background and/or knowledge of elementary and middle school initiatives, philosophy, curriculum, and instruction.Deep understanding of best leadership practices in ensuring positive outcomes for all learners, especially multi-lingual learners and students with disabilities.Please include a copy of your resume, letter of intent, and a copy of your educator license.
