ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametag and Gaming License.
- Provides cashier services to guests, including providing change for operating slot machines, cashing checks, preparing fills and jackpots, checking banks out and in, checking keys out and in, adding money to safe, preparing deposits, counting and bundling cash, and balancing the bank.
- Receives, secures, handles, counts and reconciles, and distributes large sums of money accurately and promptly.
- Operates various machinery to count and wrap coins and cash money.
- Performs responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
- Completes required casino forms for slot jackpot fill slips, and follows set procedures for re-filling. Follows established policies on proper documentation for all transactions.
- Assists in providing customer services to all guests through various activities. Develops and maintains effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all guests and employees.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of casino operations at all times. Keeps their supervisor informed of any concerns. Ensure customers are 21 years or older.
- Complies with established security policies and procedures. Informs supervisor and/or security personnel of any concerns.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, and gaming rules and regulations. Demonstrated experience receiving, securing, handling, counting, reconciling, and distributing large sums of money quickly and accurately. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes contacts with employees and customers.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Prefer one (1) or more years of recent and related experience as a cashier, preferably within a gaming environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
REASONING ABILITY: No decision making is required beyond scope of essential duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Demonstrated ability performing basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion such as frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds and working a standard workweek with additional hours on a routine basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Essential duties involve working with large numbers of people while primarily in an inside environment, which may contain high noise levels.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Equipment used include but are not limited to: dollies and carts for transporting inventory, coin and money counting machines, coin wrapper, and whiz box. Use of office equipment including computers, photocopiers, printers, stamps, calculators, and staplers.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$20.00 per hour commensurate with experience, plus gratuities
Multiple shifts available. Night shifts include shift differential.
