ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively manages all aspects of the Purchasing Department.
- Develop internal strategies and implement processes to achieve purchasing objectives and monitor compliance with all policies, procedures and all applicable laws.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting of key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in managing highly complex strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry innovations, and supply chain risks that could affect purchasing decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing. Effectively negotiates with suppliers closing deals with optimal terms.
- Recognize ineffective strategies or processes and recommends alternative approaches or solutions to capitalize on change.
- Receive incoming materials and verify the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with legal and company standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all purchasing transactions.
- Organize and manage inventory, including shelving and tagging of materials.
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions.
- Prepare and manage the purchasing department budget, ensuring that spending aligns with the overall financial goals of the organization.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations, and various federal and state regulations including any changes in regulations.
- Maintain alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and a general awareness of casino operations at all times. Keeps their supervisor informed of any concerns.
- Perform other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of integrated purchasing and financial systems. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in providing strategy and thought leadership within areas of procurement.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. 3 or more years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management. 2 or more years in a managerial role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
REASONING ABILITY: Position often performs beyond the scope of essential duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION: Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License. Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License with a good driving record. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. A Supply Chain Management Certification is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to read and interpret all reports and invoices. Ability to enter data into the computer accurately. Strong attention to detail. Ability to base decisions on analytics and data. Good negotiation skills and risk management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve occasional sitting while completing paperwork or using a computer, kneeling, and squatting. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store or move general office supplies, equipment, and storage boxes. Essential duties involve a standard workweek with additional hours occasionally required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$56,485 annually based on experience.
