Title
Maintenance Specialist I
Performs emergency, routine, and preventative maintenance in such diverse areas as carpentry, locksmith, electrical and mechanical. Must have working knowledge and experience in more than one of these areas. Employee has the responsibility to maintain and upgrade his/her competencies based on the type. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2-3 years related experience and/or training in more than one of the described areas: mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry and locksmith required.
Certification may be required for certain areas of specialty
Involves considerable standing or walking, regular lifting of light-weight objects (i.e., 20 pounds or less) and assisting with heavier tasks such as assisting in lifting and moving patients. Minor straining or fatiguing positions must be assumed, and some fatiguing physical motions are required.

- Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions necessary.
- Must be able to understand and operate diagnostic test equipment.
