- Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist who can fully set up and operate a Star SV20 Swiss Machine. This role involves programming, setup, troubleshooting, and running production with a focus on quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will also have the opportunity to operate other CNC machines in our shop, expanding their skill set.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate a Star SV20 Swiss-type lathe to produce precision-machined parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
- Select and install tooling, collets, guide bushings, and bar feeders as required for each job.
- Adjust offsets and troubleshoot machining processes to maintain tight tolerances.
- Inspect and measure parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment.
- Work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are operating at peak performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of setups, inspections, and production runs.
- Assist in training and mentoring less experienced machinists when needed.
- Operate other CNC machines as needed, offering opportunities to expand machining expertise.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2 years of experience setting up and operating Swiss CNC machines (Star SV20 preferred).
- Strong understanding of Swiss machining principles, tool selection, and offsets.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize programs for cycle time and quality.
- Experience with Fanuc or Star CNC controls is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and GD&T.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
