Job Overview
The Director of Human Resources is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within the organization. This position plays a critical role in shaping the company culture, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Duties
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee recruitment processes to attract top talent and ensure a diverse workforce.
- Manage employee onboarding, training development, and performance management systems.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including workers' compensation and leave management.
- Supervise the timely processing of all contractual obligations that include across-the-board increases for NYSNA, CIR, 1199 and 32E, and periodic adjustments to step/level increases. Review and approve all HRF’s received in Wage & Salary daily. Ensure that any existing backlogs are eliminated.
- Develops and communicates benefits information to employees using written material and group presentation.
- Review database (s) periodically to ensure integrity of information such as proper coding, union date, specific group classification, and vacation allotment, etc.
- Secure and maintain updated job descriptions for all BronxCare Health System positions.
- Assist in the review of requests for merit, adjustments, salary increases, and upgrades, reclassification of various positions, and make recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining best practices.
- Analyze HR metrics to drive decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness.
Skills
- Five to eight (5-8) years experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description
- Proficient in human resources management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong analytical skills to assess HR metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Proven leadership abilities to inspire teams and drive organizational change.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $165,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
